Meeting Agenda
Webster's II Dictionary defines Activist as the practice based on direct action to effect changes in social conditions, government, etc. My question to you is are you Taxed Enough Already and if so are you a TEA activist? Our objective Tuesday night is to provide you with a 1-2-3 punch to help make capable changes in the November 2010 election as well as future elections.
- Punch 1 - Nuri Rodriguez with the Nueces County Voter Registration office will be on hand to teach us about voter registration and swear in Texas Volunteer Deputy Registrar's. Note; once you are a Deputy, you can register other people to vote. What does this mean to you? Well, if you have people you meet that are like minded as you...they want less Taxes, and if they are not registered to vote then you can register them to vote and WE can make an effective change against socialism.
- Punch 2 - Vicki Stubblefield is driving down from Austin, Texas to educate us on effective block walking. How is it done, why you should block walk, and what to expect when you go block walking? This is an extremely useful campaigning tool because it gets you face-to-face with people and your energy could bring more "TEA'd off" people to the voting booth. Be ready to commit and sign up for candidates Tuesday night. We are ready and motivated!
- Punch 3 - Energy, excitement and knowledge. We will discuss frightening healthcare reform numbers, the national debt, and the continued lack of acknowledgment to our charge for Less Taxes and Less Spending. Washington is not listening BUT we will make them listen.
Join us for this exciting August Northwest Tea Party meeting and walk away ignited as a conservative TEA activist. We look forward to seeing you there!
We plan to meet the last Tuesday of every month in the same location.
Make and form strong bonds, network, and establish a plan for action. We are doing what we could not do alone, to preserve that which we value.
