REPUBLICANS 'GOTTA SIT IN THE BACK'

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20101025/ap_on_el_pr/us_obama

He said Republicans had driven the economy into a ditch and then stood by and criticized while Democrats pulled it out. Now that progress has been made, he said, "we can't have special interests sitting shotgun. We gotta have middle class families up in front. We don't mind the Republicans joining us. They can come for the ride, but they gotta sit in back."

Judge says Get out the Vote Rally violates election code; wants it moved

Judge says Get out the Vote Rally violates election code; wants it moved

http://www.brownsvilleherald.com/news/election-118516-code-cascos.html

Cameron County Judge Carlos H. Cascos says today's Get out the Vote Rally at Veterans Park violates the election code and has asked the county's Election Department to move it.
In an e-mail to Election's Adminstrator Roger Ortiz, Cascos said the event falls under Section 61.004 of the Texas Election Code, which addresses Unlawful Operation of Sound Amplification Device or Sound Truck.
The section states an individual violates the election code if the person during the voting period and within 1,000 feet of a building in which a pollling place is located, the person operates a sound amplification device or loud speaker while the device is being used for a political speech or electioneering for or against any candidate, measure or political party.
Early voting is taking place at the Brownsville Public Library on Central Boulevard, which is right next to Veterans Park and Cascos has asked Ortiz to notify the organizers and have it moved to another location that does not violate the election code.
The Brownsville Herald is waiting for a response from Ortiz.
Cascos said he received telephone calls regarding the alleged violation and decided to notify Ortiz since he is in charge of the elections.
Former President Bill Clinton will appear with U.S. Rep. Solomon P. Ortiz and other local Democrats at today's rally scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
Also scheduled to appear are U.S. Reps. Henry Cuellar, D-Laredo and Ruben Hinojosa, D-Mercedes along with John Wood, the Democratic Party candidate for Cameron County Judge.
Cascos said he isn't against the rally. However, he is against its location and its apparent violation of the election code.

Obamacare hits home!!!!! Didn't Obama say "No new taxes for those making under $250,000?

I just got this in an email from my Healthcare Flexible spending account provider.  It appears most over the counter medicines will no longer be eligible for reimbursement.   Remember, removing tax breaks is a tax increase!!  (And contrary to what the democrats will tell you, this is a tax increase ALL classes!!)

Go VOTE and let your voice be heard!!  We can't afford to be quiet any longer!

Dear FSA Participant,

This document contains important information about your Flexible Spending Account for 2011 and the treatment of over-the-counter drugs, medicines and biologicals

What is changing in 2011?

Due to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act and the Health Care Reconciliation Act of 2010, some over-the-counter drugs and medicines once considered eligible for reimbursement under a Health Flexible Spending Account will now require a prescription from a licensed physician.

Only items purchased on or after January 1, 2011 will be subject to the new regulations. Items purchased in 2010 but not yet submitted for 2010 reimbursement will not be affected by the new regulations.

It is necessary to submit your physician’s prescription with each request for reimbursement for affected over-the-counter items.

How does this affect my FSA Debit Card?

If you have an FSA Debit Card, it will no longer be accepted to pay for affected over-the-counter expenses that were previously considered to be eligible.  Again, this change will take effect on 01/01/2011.

What over-the-counter items are still eligible for reimbursement or accepted by the FSA Debit Card?

        Band Aids
        Birth Control
        Braces and supports
        Catheters
        Contact lens supplies and solutions
        Denture adhesives
        Diagnostic tests and monitors
        Elastic bandages and wraps
        First Aid supplies
        Insulin and diabetic supplies
        Ostomy products
        Reading glasses
Wheelchairs, walkers, canes and other durable medical equipment

What over-the-counter items are NO LONGER eligible for reimbursement without a physician prescription?

        Acid controllers/digestive aids
        Allergy and sinus medicines
        Antibiotic products
        Anti-diarrheals/anti-gas medicines
        Anti-itch and insect bite medicines
        Anti parasitic treatments
        Baby rash ointments and creams
        Cold sore remedies
        Cough, cold and flu medicines
        Feminine anti-fungal/anti-itch
        Hemorrhoidal preps
        Laxatives
        Motion sickness medicines
        Pain Relievers – aspirin, etc.
        Respiratory treatments
        Sleep aids and sedatives
        Stomach remedies

Questions?

Now is the time to plan ahead. Do not wait to contact Taxsaver Plan with questions about these changes. Reply to this email or call 800-328-4337 for more information about over-the-counter changes in 2011.

Thank You,

Cronies -27 years is enough!!

Coastal Bend Young Democrats sends letters to candidates demanding them to denounce the Tea Party

Attached are letters mailed to Republican candidates: Anna Jimenez, Amanda Torres, Angelica Hernandez, and Raul Torres.  Not only are the letters unfounded, but the fact that only Hispanic candidates received the letters demonstrates questionable "racists", divisive, and un-American motives by the Democrat party. Furthermore since the letters were drafted on the Coastal Bend Young Democrats letterhead, not one Democrat attended our Regional Candidate debate forum on October 16th, we should interpret this to mean Democrats do not identify Tea Party activists as voters they need to represent in our government.  Please consider these opinions if you are currently displaying any Democrat signs in your yard or at your business.  We are not Republicans, Democrats, Independents...we are a group of people who are Taxed Enough Already!
